Because he doesn’t plan on winning
Donald Trump doesn’t seem to be very interested in getting votes.
He’s said multiple times that he doesn’t need anymore. That he’s got all the votes he needs.
This should trouble the average, rational person, because the whole goal of the election is getting votes right?
Unless you’re planning on just stealing the election.
Donald Trump looked to be reading for victory earlier this summer but Kamala Harris is surging in the polls. Election forecaster Nate Silver’s 538 recently has Kamala Harris increasing her chances of winning both the general election and the electoral college.
Instead of gearing up to gather votes and win support from states, Donald Trump is doubling down on his plans to steal the election from Kamala Harris.
He tried a grander scope of this during the January 6 insurrection. Trump wanted then Vice President Mike Pence to refuse to certify the election.
When he refused they launched the coup hoping to get Pence out of the way so that Chuck Grassely the president pro tempore of the United Senate could then refuse to certify the election.
