The din of the lawn mower,

Is Summer’s hymn.

As it cross crosses fields,

Shearing long wild grass,

And tidying the pasture.

Letting loose,

The pungent odor,

Of shorn grass trimmings,

And early morning dew,

And hints of mud.

All summer long.
