The Best Sketchbook Setup
I carry my sketchbook everywhere. I draw a lot and I use it to work on ideas for articles. I’m always writing or drawing something. For this reason, I get the A5 size notebook. It’s 5 by 8 instead of the usual 8 1/2 by 11 size.
I’m partial to the Moleskine brand notebooks. When I started drawing seriously in high school it was one of the only premium notebooks available. I’ve tried others and some are better, but I always end up with the Moleskine. I have about ten of the sketchbooks at any one time.
But, the sketchbook alone is not enough. I used to just keep everything in my pockets, but that limits what you can have on you. At most, you can keep a pencil and a pen or two.
I found the Accurasee Sketch Caddy a few years ago and it’s been great.I can keep a lot more supplies with me. The best part is it costs around 10 bucks on Amazon. They make a larger one for the bigger sketchbooks too.
Now, I can keep my fountain pen and Pentel pocketbrush with me.

With everything in one place, it’s the complete sketching kit and it’s ready whenever you are.
