If you want to try making writing a career or a substantial side hustle then making $1000 a month is a good goal to strive for.

Making a grand a month as a side hustle is great.

And if you can make that much a month then you know you probably have what it takes to dive in and make it your career. It’s a good benchmark to hit if you think being a writer full time is your endgame.

So how does one go about this?

Freelancing/Ghostwriting

If you want to make a substantial amount of money writing and do not have a big enough following to make money from your own writing then freelancing is the way to go.

Also, freelancing if you are diligent about picking your clients will give you a little more stability than relying on platforms.

Though it will never be as secure as a true 9 to 5.

Now how do you start hitting these numbers?

I’ve always found it easier to have my goal amount and work backwards.
